Details:
There were faint auroras with very little color on the northern horizon at about 10:30 August 11 then they began to intensify. By 11 there were bright reds and greens visible to the naked eye. Then around 12:30 auroras stretched to the zenith and were pulsing. Still going strong by 2am August 12 when I went to sleep!
