Details:
Hoping to catch some Perseid meteors - Surprise, Surprise - Red Aurora were shimmering on the Northern horizon - down South y'all. The photo shows half a dozen or so Perseid Meteors that appeared over a couple hours after 1am assembled with the peak of Aurora activity shot. There was hint of color and some great outbursts from midnight, all the way to Dawn from this round of Aurora/Northern Lights. The animated gif file is from a series of still photos made into a time lapse video clip. It shows; the movement of Aurora and, due to our planetary rotation, the Milky Way waltzing across the sky.
