Details:
I noticed a pink glow on the tablet screen I was using to monitor a time-lapse I'd set up for the Perseids. I checked the Kp-Index and saw that a geomagnetic storm had started so went out with my iPhone to see what I could catch. I noticed as soon as I was outside that I could make out the aurora naked-eye even in my light-polluted southwester Ohio area.
