It seems Betelgeuse is dim again. This morning - during Perseid shooting - I found it in the corner of my wide-angle image (attached is a crop, in the left upper corner, Jupiter and Mars are close in the sky, too) almost as bright as Bellatrix, dimmer than Aldebaran. Another dust cloud hurled from the star to our view? Or supernova moment finally coming? Canon 6D, Samyang 14mm, cropped from large view.
