Details:
Today's face of the Sun during a rare ISS transit, captured through a Baader-Herschel wedge attached to my Astro-Physics Traveler telescope. In Spain close to El Burgo I reached a nice place to witness the transit. It was an exciting event that took place on a path that was only 5.25 miles wide. The sunspot AR3777 in this picture produced its most powerful solar flare yet - an X1.3-class explosion on the same day. Colorful Aurora shows are possible again.
