Moon and Venus: Phases and sizes

My See Star caught both the crescent Moon, one day old, and round Venus just past superior conjunction, in the same frame on August 5th at dusk. It was interestng to compare the shapes and sizes and distances in this image.
Fist, the phases. The Moon is 1.5 days old, and 2.3% illuminated. Venus is 95% illuminated, almost round here.
Next, the sizes. The moon is 29' 51" in diameter, or 1,790" Venus is 10" currently. So the Moon appears 179X bigger in size than Venus in this image.
Let's suppose the Moon and Venus are in fact globes of equal size. This would mean Venus is now appearing 179X more distant. But in fact, Venus lies 1.64 AU distant here, and the Moon only .00026 AU now. So the actual distance ratio makes Venus now 613X more distant. This of course is because Venus is bigger than the Moon, 3.4X larger in fact, according to my photo. The actual ratio is 1210 km/3476 km = 3.48 X for Venus. Not bad for a See Star image.
