Details:
As I arrived to set up at the scene I saw a low distant STEVE over the south-east. Photos at 11:27 July 31 local time, east-central BC, Canada revealed a red arc above the sliver of mauve. It faded from view 6 minutes later. Towards midnight segments of it appeared again, this time snaking to a bright show overhead and later moving down to the west, where the last of it faded more than an hour after the first sighting. A meteor joined the scene at 12:21 am. (Vega’s corona is an artifact of intermittent dense river mist leaving some fog on the lens.)
