Details:
On July 5th, I drove north of Flagstaff, Arizona, to try imaging Comet Olbers. The sky was clear with a pause in our monsoon cloud cover and winds had calmed down. It's great to see another comet with ruffled details in the ion tail, which extended to three degrees while the wide dust tail fading gently out to about one degree. I was attempting a little more than one hour of imaging, but got ambitious with 2 minute exposures and had to trash about half of those due to a tracking issue. The image has been rotated to roughly match the comet's orientation to the horizon.

Canon EOS R5, ZenithStar 61 II APO, iOptron SkyGuider Pro, 17 x 120 sec., ISO 800. PixInsight, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom.
