Details:
This season, where I come from, hunting for noctilucent clouds has been absolutely negative, due to the perennial presence of... tropospheric clouds. On the evening of June 28th there were also some sightings from northern Italy, but here, as always, in this decidedly anomalous year, the sky was cloudy... Luckily, at times, even the usual clouds put on a show, like on the evening of July 1st, an amazing display of mammatus clouds filled the sky, at the tail end of a storm system that didn't produce much effect, even if you wouldn't think so. Canon 50D + zoom lens 17/85 mm.
