Details:
(Longer sequence update.) Active Region AR3712 showed an abrupt flare at about 10.45 UTC this morning. It exploded in just a few seconds to giant proportions much bigger than earth! Although it was probably an M1.5 flare, it looked really big in my solar telescope! - This is a more detailed and longer sequence than submitted earlier today. It is from 10.43 to 11.24 UTC.
Note the rapid movement of the filaments created during the outburst. 115mm APO, Baader ERF, Quark Chromosphere H-alpha filter, AZI183MM. Registax6.
