Details:
Staring for hours at a blank patch of sky waiting for a nova it helps to visualise the red giant as most location images burn out the colour. This is a defocussed and magnified stack of 20 8 Second frames at ISO 3200 of T CrB through a Skywatcher 150 mm short tube F5 refractor. The base image is a single 20 second frame. The pink of the central core is an overexposure artifact of defocussing.
