Details:
June 7th is the first day of this year on which the setting Sun can be photographed setting directly beneath the canopy of a lone, strange, wind-blown Musasa tree which sits at the foot of the southern slope of Transmitter Hill as viewed from the upper veranda of my house on Murambi Heights. This marks the beginning of a two-week period during which our Winter Solstice Sun can be observed setting in the vicinity of this tree – which is why I call it the ‘Solstice Tree’! Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
