Details:
Finally saw the aurora from Essex UK(Rayleigh) after 20 years of failed attempts. Having seen the G5 alert went to my observing site with my daughter at 21:45 local time. Immediately saw a pink blob above the moon and new it was the aurora although my daughter was sceptical. A green arc then developed with a purple sky. Later 11:30ish auroras 360 and corona overhead. Beautiful pink rays extending from the horizon to the zenith. I was delighted and stayed out till 3:00. Daughter was very happy having had two failed trips to Iceland ( iPhone 14 Pro Max)
