Details:
This is the most beautiful aurora display I have seen here since the Halloween storms in 2003. The aurora was visible to the naked eye during the whole night, so I stayed outside all night long to enjoy the show. There were some moments with only diffuse glow towards the north, and some moments with impressive display. Red and green colors were visible to the naked eye. I could see some pillars rising up to the zenith around 1:00 local time. I moved to another location during the night, the image with purple aurora was taken in La Bruffière (about 60km towards north). Images taken between 0:00 and 5:00 local time. Canon EOS 700D digital camera, 1600 ISO, exposure times 5 to 10 seconds, 8mm fisheye lens and 10-22mm lens used.
