Details:
When the auroras began, they were dim and thin, like high cirrus blocking out some stars. The auroras soon became so thick, most stars were hidden, green glow was evident.Looking through a cell phone brought out the red. They weren't bright, but were clearly visible to the naked eye. Using a DSLR improved the image color and detail.
