Details:
As soon as the sun went down, the auroras became visible with a long exposure. They looked like a faint, greenish arcing glow to the northeast. But the real action started around 9:30 or 10pm, and lasted until dawn! The faint green arc exploded into pillars and spikes of red, purple, yellow, green, and even some hints of blue. The storm was so strong, the red bands were visible looking south, and "interfered" with some Milky Way photos. It was a spectacular and event for sure.
