Details:
Aurora were visible in every direction. I was expecting them to be in the northern sky and was completely blown away, looking overhead, looking all around, everywhere. These photos were made in a meadow outside of Banner elk with views of Beech Mountain. The temperature was in the low 40s, it was windy, and the clouds were so thick at times, but even in those conditions, there were windows of clarity when you could see wild waves and sheets of light. The camera definitely saw more color than the eye could see. These were with a14-30mm lens on a Nikon Z6 set at 14 mm mostly 10 -15 second exposures.
