Details:
We captured these aurora images on the night of May 10th from a farm in Wells, Maine. It was truly a spectacular show! The aurora was very colorful and very dynamic, its shape and structure constantly changing by the second. The aurora was still going strong when we left after about two hours. We were forced to leave since our camera lenses became covered with frost and we couldn't shoot any longer. It was freezing-cold that night! The last time we saw auroras sparked by a G5 (extreme) geomagnetic storm here in New England was during the Halloween Storm of 2003!
