Hi Tony, what a show last night, best aurora I've seen in 20 years with vivid pink, crimson and purple colours to naked eye. All sky display covering 360 degrees from here in N. Ireland.
The corona was remarkable, the longest lasting Ive ever seen with stunning forms constantly changing with fine rays fanning down from the zenith to the S, W and E as if some kind of apparition was happening. I could see an angel and even a large bird with wings with feathers, unreal! The stars were washed out from the sky and the birds began singing at 01.30 due to the magnitude of the display, they mistook the glow for approaching dawn.
Best aurora images of my life, here are a few captured over a lovely fairy tree. All taken with full frame Canon 5D Mark IV and 15mm lens.
