Details:
I had the opportunity to see my second total Solar Eclipse. My 1st one was back in 2017m in Tennessee. I was hoping to enjoy this experience from my hometown of Rochester NY but the weather would not be on our side. I made the trip to Sherbrooke Quebec where the weather forecast was calling for clear skies until late afternoon. The people we met were wonderful. Families from Montreal, Toronto, and Sherbrooke itself were so friendly. Made wonderful connections and new friendships. We actually met students from Los Angelas and a family from New Jersey. The sky was crisp and transparent at a very comfortable 63 degrees. With a wonderful sky to work with, the scenery was about as surreal as it gets for totality. The metallic lighting and subdued colors were extraordinary. It was like a giant sponge swept across the land and soaked up some of the hues. You felt like you were on a movie set with props. The wrap around sunset was amazing with Jupiter and Venus shining brightly. I was very excited about my captures and sharing the moments. I was encouraged to send my results to Space Weather. I should have done it sooner. Just got caught up with other commitments since that day. I hope you will accept them.
