Details:
Orange twilight has engulfed 12P as it sets now before it gets dark. 12P on the evening of 2024 April 24 UT was magnitude G=4.0 as calculated from 8x15s images taken thru a green filter in an aperture diameter of 10'. The SNR was good and there were enough stars to do the magnitude calculation with no problem. Thru a red filter the comet became visible earlier than I expected when trying to find it which seem to indicate the comet had brightened some, so it was not surprising that the magnitude calculations showed the comet had brightened since I last observed it on the evening of 2024 April 22 UT. In wide field of view images the comet is hard to see in the orange twilight sky now.
