Messier 38 or M38, also known as NGC 1912 or Starfish Cluster, is the third Messier open cluster in the constellation of Auriga. Adjacent to M38 you can also spot the small open cluster NGC 1907 (to the upper right). Observation data (J2000.0 epoch) Right ascension: 05h 28m 43s Declination: +35° 51′ 18″ Distance: 3,480 ly Apparent magnitude (V): 7.4 Apparent dimensions (V): 21′ Tech Specs: Sky-Watcher Esprit 120ED Telescope, ZWO ASI2600MC camera running at -10F, 81 x 60 seconds, Sky-Watcher EQ6R-Pro pier mounted, ZWO EAF and ASIAir Pro, processed in DSS and PixInisght software.
