Details:
I was really excited to see the auroras from the X-flare that happened on the 23rd March 2024. The arrival of the flare happened a bit too early for Finland, as darkness comes only around 20.30 now (UTC+2), and aurora was really active since 15.00 UTC. Then, Bz turned mostly positive entering the core of the CME. Nevertheless, aurora did one amazing dance just after the fall of darkness: it started as a sharp dancing arc in the Southern horizon, and it quickly went overhead, producing some of the most vibrant red & purple auroras that I've seen in my entire aurora hunting career! Even the full moon could not extinguish the colours.
