Details:
After a lengthy spell of cloudy nights I finally managed to spot comet 12P/Pons-Brooks which takes my total comet count to 24. The aim of tonight's sighting was just to see it, but once I found it I thought I may as well take a record shot, for all I know it could be cloudy again for a few weeks so might be my only opportunity for a photo. The forecast is looking promising for tomorrow, if they get it right I shall be using my start tracker and stacking and hopefully get something a little more impressive than tonight's effort, which was just a single 2.5 sec exposure at ISO 4000 F/5.6 with a focal length of 135mm. It was easy to spot with 15x70 binoculars from my light polluted urban location in southern England.
