Details:
Captured yesterday 28th February 2024, the image is the result of a new technique and workflow I’m developing just for full disc images, specially dedicated to reveal the sun’s surface in great detail up to the limb while keeping a nice ambience and light flow around the prominences. So I didn’t made time lapse this time, but the still view is full of interesting features on the chromosphere with a large filament at the center while the giant Active Region 13590 is moving towards the limb. For this image I used my Lunt LS100 with a Player One Saturn-M SQR camera, which is the perfect combination for this type of full disc images. The photo was captured from Dark Sky® Alqueva territory, in Portugal at UT12h09m.
