Details:
Given the recent X class flare activity, I thought to creat a dopplergram using data acquired from an AT72EDII refractor and SolEx, a 3D printed spectroheliograph. This technique permits the velocity of solar material to be visualized. Motion due to the rotation of the Sun as well as turbulence in the photosphere is encoded in the blue and red pixels which correspond to material moving toward us (blue) and which is moving away(red). Turbulence around the AR3590 sunspot complex is especially evident in this scan acquired ~ 1620 UTC.
