Details:
12P/Pons-Brooks @ 2024 February 4, 02:27 UT Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks on February 4, 2024. It is observed in this image that the bluish-toned ionic tail extends at least half a degree to the north, although the comet's location against the starry background of the Milky Way still makes the observation of these details quite dificult. Reddish arcs of ionized hydrogen clouds can also be appreciated, and the bright star 72 Cygni with a magnitude of 5 is visible as well.
