Description:
Comet C/2021 S3 (PANSTARRS) imaged on January 17, 2024, located over the constellation Lupus, displays a bright coma surrounded by a greenish halo and a curved dust tail measuring half a degree in length. In this star-filled field, dense interstellar dust clouds in the upper right corner also catch the eye, along with bright blue stars like Chi Lupi, shining with a magnitude of 4 at the bottom of the image.
