Supernova SN2024gy in NGC4216 a spiral galaxy located in Virgo. January 14th 2024 at 02 00am The Type Ia supernova was discovered by Japanese astronomer Koichi Itagaki on 4 Jan'24. Presently at mag 13.2 and brightening.
