Details:
The first US moon lander since 1972 was launched at 2:18 AM today from Cape Canaveral (20 miles distant). This was the first launch of the new ULA Vulcan rocket, an upgraded version of the Atlas V. Instead of the Russian RD-180 first-stage engines used on the Alas V, which burn kerosene and oxygen, the Vulcan uses Blue Origin BE-4 engines, which burn methane and oxygen, producing the bluish white flame seen in the picture. The the yellow-orange color at the beginning of the launch is added by two solid rocket boosters.
