Details:
I have posted this before, but it bears repeating. A message to all from the Stratosphere. High above the weather with the thin blue fringe of the atmosphere under the black canopy of Space and the stars, the Community of Harleston, Norfolk, UK, send a message, one of the highest ever community peace messages in the wold (at 36kms). The earth below looks calm and perfect ….. but!! The globe contains the wingtips printed with swifts cut from the town’s children’s 1000 origami peace cranes. The clear globe below contains twenty cut out swifts which became weightless and took off when the research balloon which carried them aloft popped. The message card and the wingtips had previously been to the Ground Zero memorial in New York and the Hiroshima Peace Park. Our message, supported by Rotary International, Harleston’s Future and Swift Action for Nature Recovery. ‘1000 origami-crane wingtips carry our boundless hope for peace to everyone, everywhere, from the people of Harleston and District, Norfolk, UK.
