Details:
After a friend excitedly told me she'd seen the Northern Lights (at 4PM, just after sunset), I looked outside - and saw a lovely display of nacreous clouds to the southwest. They even showed up on the visible satellite imagery this afternoon! Screengrab from sat24 attached. Leysdown is in SE England, and from the satellite view the clouds were even visible to the south over France.
