Details:
I was monitoring the activity all day and took my camera outside as soon as it was dark enough. The Polar Night has just started here in Utsjoki, Finland, which means that it gets dark really early. I was checking on my camera at 4pm when I saw a tiny red shadow. The camera confirmed my suspicion, red auroras! I stood in with my indoor clothes in -10C enjoying, what I am sure is just the start of tonights display.
