On Tuesday, November 28th, at 11:55 am (UT -3), despite having terrible seeing conditions, I made a great effort to try to capture an image of the notable sunspot AR3500. Although the obtained image is far from good, it shows a phenomenon that I had never seen before in all my years of solar photography. Above and to the right of the sunspot group, you can clearly see the vortex-like deformation of the convection cells due to the intense magnetic fields, clearly revealing their circular shape. A few hours later, this sunspot caused a series of very powerful flares. The sun never ceases to amaze me. To capture this photograph, I used a Maksutov 180 telescope, a Baader solar film filter, a Baader Solar Continuum filter, and a Player One Mars-M II camera.
