Details:
On the evening of Nov. 4, a bright white cloud appeared in the sky and fanned out against the wind. When I pointed the camera at it, it appeared to be a rapidly moving aurora curtain similar to what I have seen above the Arctic Circle but now with red and bright white. Now people say it is a STEVE phenomenon but I doubt it because of the fairly fast movements and the ragged edges. The pictures were taken at Terschelling (Netherlands) around 20:00 LT. the orientation of the cloud was east-west and the camera position is facing west. The exact position was: 53.36881° N, 5.20253° E The exif data is as follows: Nikon D750 - Sigma 20mm F1.4 Art Iso 1250 - f1.4 - 3 sec.
