Details:
We have been living in Lofoten for 15 years now and I have been a Northern Lights guide for 7 years, so I am often out in the evening and at night. But I can't remember seeing as much red northern lights as I did on the evening of November 5. Of course I have often had red and purple as 'by-catch' in the photo, while it was (almost) invisible to the naked eye. But this evening there was a lot of red, simultaneously with green also clearly visible to the naked eye. Not as bright as in the photo, today's sensors simply see more than we do, but still, just really red and green at the same time. The purple in these photos was not visually recognizable as purple, but it is a nice bonus of course.
