Details:
While flying from Cleveland, OH to BWI airport, I noticed a colorful circular rainbow pattern seemingly following the aircraft. Termed a "Glory", this optical effect is caused by an interplay of sunlight and droplets of moisture suspended in the atmosphere! Luckily, I was on the side of the aircraft opposite the sun to observe this interesting pattern. The Glory disappeared as the clouds dispersed and we flew over clear skies.
