Details:
For a while tonight, the sun stayed above the duct, and did not seem to move much. It as because as Dr. Andy Young explains “ Because rays that are trapped in a duct  cannot leave the Earth's atmosphere, an observer within the duct cannot see the Sun or other astronomical  objects in a zone of the sky, containing the ducted rays, that is centered on the astronomical horizon. .” Tonight, however, the rays of the miraged sun eventually penetrated the duct because there was a leak in it somewhere . It resulted in the beautiful Novaya Zemlya effect mirage. Here is the video of this amazing sunset https://youtu.be/d0GugdsE5Ns?si=vy-3_zdA6w6R3CLZ
