Details:
Tonight a few ducts resulted in a very beautiful and complex sunset mirage over the miraged sea surface. Miraged Farallon Islands on the left - hand side of the sun added some mystery to the amazing atmosphere of this sunset. Some of the miraged Islands looked like UFOs. Notice that in some frames the shape of the miraged sun and the shapes of the miraged Island next to it look alike. At first the shape of the miraged sun resembled the tallest Island and then as the sunset progressed the shape of the miraged sun became similar to the shape of the little Island. The miraged sun melted in the duct around 6 minutes after the apparent sunset time. The images are frames from this video https://youtu.be/_KgiglE_hlE?si=EZ8DFFjuqRzEftF2 Notice a whale spout at 7:21 just below the miraged sun.
