The accompanying photographs and time-lapse animation of the Equinox sunrise on the 23rd were taken between 6.03 and 6.08 am about three hours before the instant of Equinox. The sunrise image taken from the Municipal Water Tank is unique in that it shows the sun rising in the view finder of another camera recording the same scene at the same time! It also demonstrates that it was taken on the solstice as the Sun is rising at the end of the divide between two halves of the lid of the tank which runs exactly east-west. Cameras: Hand-held and tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
