Details:
tried imaging Venus at this inferior conjunction. the large distance between sun and Venus at this inferior conjunction makes that the atmospheric ring is not seen. indeed, the "horns" of the crescent barely got larger the usual 180°. this is what is expected. Atmospheric ring can show up only for inferior conjunction with elongation ~ <4°. i used a 190mm diameter Maksutov Newton, with x2 Barlow and basler color camera.
