Details:
Sunday morning was overcast with some promise of gaps between the clouds, so I have set up my equipment before the time and waited.. At 09:00 UT blue sky and Sun. Few hours back, between 3am and 4am UT the 2023 inferior conjunction of Venus took place with the minimum angular separation from the Sun of 7°39'50" At the time of this image was taken the angular separation was only 7°40'30" according to "The Sky software" database I am using. In the image the planet was right above the Sun, if one would look in that direction. A colorful glare is a result of a fraction of Sun light entering the optics and reaching the sensor, but just for a fraction of a second. This is a single shot image 1/4000s @ ISO-400 through unfiltered (but screened) 8"SCT. I chose this frame because it does have a feel of planet's proximity to the Sun.
