Details:
As I sat patiently waiting for the moon to rise in the east, I was surprised to see faint auroras to the north. At first I thought I was just seeing clouds illuminated from the rising moon, but a 5-second exposure shot on my Google pixel 6 phone confirmed brilliant columns of purple and green light. What a treat! 10:18pm local time
