Details:
After two months of being unobservable due to its conjunction with the Sun, the comet C/2020 V2 (ZTF) reappears in the pre-dawn sky. In this image, taken on June 30, 2023, the comet has a brightness close to magnitude 10 and shows a coma surrounded by a greenish gaseous halo. It also has a dust tail pointing north (up) and a very faint ion tail toward west (right), both measuring about 20 arcminutes in length.
