Last night saw the widest spread of night shining clouds this year. They first appeared spreading from north-west by north at about 10.00 UTC (11.00 BST) dimmed and then developed widely into the North/North East from about 12.30 UTC (01.30 BS) through until overwhelmed by the dawn.
