Here I photographed the Sun in white light at 2 m focal length to get a full disc image at 08:32UT and then a series for an animation between 08:50 and 09:42UT. A C8.8 flare peaked at 08:54UT but did not penetrate down to the photosphere so no trace on the still or animated sequence. Seeing from reasonable to poor.
