Details:
Despite the bright moonlight ,my Equinox 2 telescope easily picked up comet C/2023 E1 high in the sky over London. This was the occasion of its closest approach to the Sun. Its closest approach to Earth is August 18. Looking like a fuzzy emerald the comet is reasonably bright around Mag +9 and is moving through the constellation Ursa Minor(the Little Bear) Being circumpolar it is visible all night at present
