Details:
I had just gone outside to see if the clouds had parted enough to catch a glimpse of the aurora in the north, and then saw STEVE high overhead. It was quite active with movement, but only lasted about 10 minutes and then started to break apart into little globules (my last two pictures), before entirely vanishing. Had overall a pretty low quality sky, but did manage to catch a satellite flare through the clouds as well. Details: Nikon D5, 6400-ISO, f/2.8, 24mm, 10 sec. The dang thing vanished on me before I could get to a location with a better sky view and get to my other lenses.
