Details:
The accompanying time-lapse videos and images were taken between 5.50 and 6.34 am on Sunday 4th June. They show the Full Moon from shining bright in a dark pre-dawn sky to descending first in spectacular reflected glow from a bright volcanic sunrise arch to the ENE and then setting in Earth Shadow beneath a pink Belt of Venus following it towards the opposite (WSW) horizon at dawn. Obtaining the close-up views of the Moon approaching the horizon was a challenge due to reduced visibility from haze and competing light from the accompanying Belt of Venus. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
