Details:
On the night of the full Flower Moon, one would hardly expect to see the aurora. An unexpected quite possibly a "Stealth CME" impacted our magnetic field sending it into a G2 soar storm. I was out the door as soon as dusk approached and was at a pond Northeat of Calgary called Gayford pond. The Moon was 20 degrees above the horizon when the aurora became visible. The images I have attached were taken one hour after the Bz had swung North. A auroral corona of this magnitude is very rare for our latitude. The corona extended from the Eastern to Western horizon, it was magnificent to witness and I was in complete awe of the immensity of the corona!
